Physical Book or e-Reader

Physical Book or e-Reader

What's better: reading a physical book or using your e-reader? It's the eternal dilemma for us book lovers. But today, I'm sharing some pros and cons of both so you can choose what works best for you - and join this discussion.

Pros of Physical Books:

  • Reading a physical book is a whole sensory experience - and that's the main reason many readers prefer it. Holding the book in your hands, flipping through the pages, underlining your favorite quotes... even the smell of the paper creates a special feeling. Plus, it's easier on the eyes than a screen.
  • You can build your own library and collect your favorite books.
  • They're easy to lend or make a thoughtful gift.

Cons of Physical Books:

  • They can be heavy to carry around, and if you don't protect the well, they might get damaged in your bag.
  • Looking up words or translations can be a bit exhausting, since you'll need to use your phone or computer or dictionary.

Pros of an e-Reader:

  • You can have hundreds of books in one place and switch between them whenever you like, without carrying extra weight. We in Simmoni have handmade e-reader sleeves to protect your device.
  • Compact and lightweight - you can take it anywhere easily.
  • Cost-effective in the long run, since e-books are usually cheaper than physical copies.
  • Built-in tools like dictionaries, translations, highlighting, and notes make reading easier.

Cons of an e-Reader:

  • You have to keep an eye on the battery and charge it.
  • The initial investment can be pricey.
  • Screens may tire your eyes more quickly.
  • If you use a tablet or phone, apps and notifications can become a distraction.

At the end of the day, no matter which one you choose, Simmoni will be right there for you. So... tell me, which team are you? Or do you use both?
